Cape Bridgewater’s animal charms
“Bridgie, as the locals call it, is a tiny coastal village near the Victorian town of Portland, a stone’s throw from the South Australian border. There are a couple of streets, one shop (good postcards, bad coffee) and the cleanest beach I’ve ever been on.
The thing to do is hire a house opposite the beach for some fabulous sea views -“ on a perfectly sunny day the view gets you seriously thinking about local employment opportunities and bank loan possibilities.
