Gay teens grace EW cover

Fresh from his Golden Globe win for Best Supporting Actor in Television Series, Glee‘s Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel) has graced the cover of today’s Entertainment Weekly with costar Darren Criss.

Accompanied by several shots of the soon-to-be TV couple inside the US magazine, it’s the latest look at a current trend in American television to chronicle the lives of young, gay teens. Kurt Hummel joins the explosion of gay and lesbian characters on shows such as the rebooted 90210, Pretty Little Liars, and new US version of Skins.

In the interview, Colfer discusses the duo’s camp cover of Baby, It’s Cold Outside, which became the most downloaded track off the Glee Christmas album, calling it: “By far the gayest thing that has ever been on TV, period.”
