Hathaway rebukes catty criticisms
Anne Hathaway has heard what some people have been saying about the first official photo of her in full Catwoman garb for The Dark Knight Rises (pictured), and she’s keen to defend the new vision of the famous comic book anti-hero.
In an interview with MTV News she admitted she asked someone to send her a few reactions to the shot.
“If you didn’t like the photo, you only see about a tenth of what that suit can do. For those who did, you have excellent taste,” she said.
The image of Hathaway in a tight-fitting body suit while driving the famous ‘Batpod’ had raised the ire of some fans who were highly critical of the new look.
A poll by US Magazine asked people to rate the three cinematic Catwomen against each other – though only in regards to their looks – with 52 percent voting for Michelle Pfeiffer, 37 percent choosing Halle Berry, with Hathaway in last place with 11 percent.
The Dark Knight Rises is in cinemas next year.
