Israel Cruz goes pop!
Local R&B star Israel Cruz has reinvented himself as purveyor of top-notch urban pop music on his new single Party Up.
The 28-year-old singer, who is best known for hip-hop anthems like Wake Up With You and Old Skool Luv, has taken note of what’s hot on the charts and delivered a song that Taio Cruz or Jason DeRulo would be happy to call their own.
Party Up is a catchy floorfliller with a sing-a-long chorus and feel good lyrics about letting go and having a good time.
This theme is reflected in the colourful video, which finds Israel getting hot and heavy with his girl in the car and also showcases the Filipino-born singer’s hot dance moves.
It’s a big change in sound and image but he pulls it off.
