Kardashian tackles pop music

Kim Kardashian is currently holed up in the recording studio with super producer The-Dream, putting the finishing touches on her debut single Turn It Up.

The 30-year0-old, who came to fame via a leaked sex tape before becoming a reality TV sensation with Keeping Up With The Kardashians, is following in the footsteps of fellow socialites Paris Hilton and Heidi Montag by branching into music.

A video clip – starring Kanye West, no less – has already been shot and the song is set to debut on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show in three weeks to coincide with a special episode of her show.

News of Kim’s career change has critics sharpening their knives – see Jimmy Kimmel’s skit below – but the diva in waiting surely has enough cash to come up with something… relatively painless.
