Meloni set for Superman
Christopher Meloni, star of cult prison drama OZ and Law & Order: SVU, is set to appear in director Zack Snyder’s new Superman movie Man of Steel.
Despite initial rumours that he would playing Lex Luthor, the 50-year-old actor revealed to NYMag.com that he’s actually playing a general but declined to give further details.
He did confirm, however, that he starts filming at the end of August and will shoot his scenes in Chicago and Vancouver.
Other members of the cast include Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe and Julia Ormond.
Man Of Steel is set for release in late 2012.
