Most gays probably have AIDS: Hilton
From The Simple Life to the simple mind, it seems that Paris Hilton has it all – except the ability to stay out of the headlines.
The heiress and reality TV star has let free on her thought that ‘most’ gay men ‘probably have AIDS’. Unluckily for Hilton, the driver of the taxi she was in, caught it all on tape.
During a conversation with an openly gay male model friend about gay men’s mobile app Grindr, Hilton said gay guys were the horniest people in the world.
“They’re disgusting,” she said.
“Dude, most of them probably have AIDS.”
After the male friend then described Grindr as a tool to find casual sex, the heiress topped off her summations with, “I would be so scared if I was a gay guy…you’ll, like, die of AIDS”.
A publicist working for Hilton was quick to clean up the heiress’s blunder, with the representative telling TMZ her comments were to express that it is dangerous for anyone to have unprotected sex that could lead to a life-threatening disease.
“As she was being shown the website, her comments were in reference to those sorts of people promoting themselves on the site,” the representative said.
Grindr’s response to the controversy via Twitter came complete with some sass.
“@parishilton, frankly we’re surprised that you hadn’t heard about Grindr sooner, given some of the guys you date,” the organisation wrote.
