Social media buzz as Tom Daley comes out — again
SOCIAL media has been abuzz with reports yesterday of British Olympic Diver Tom Daley announcing he was gay on UK television show Celebrity Juice.
It comes just months after Daley’s YouTube video announcement in December where he said that even though he was in a relationship with a man, he still ‘”fancied girls”.
However, on Celebrity Juice this week, Daley said: “I am a gay man now. I came out on YouTube as I wanted to say what I wanted to say without anyone twisting it.
“I told my family before I told the world. I was terrified. I did not know what the reaction was going to be. I did it on YouTube because people were constantly digging and asking questions.”
Daley is still dating Academy Award-winning Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black.
