Girl Most Likely – Empty Room

Girl Most Likely – Empty Room

Featuring the songwriting and vocal talents of Sarah Aubrey, Sydney four-piece Girl Most Likely deliver a sweet, low-key collection of folky pop with debut album Empty Room. There’s an affecting world-weariness to songs like the title track (“So it’s come to this/ Humiliation and an empty room,” Aubrey sighs), but also a definite sense of humour to be found — check out The Drinking Song, a gypsy ballad about the morning after the night before. It’s definitely worth a listen for fans of the likes of Angie Hart and Aimee Mann.
