Madonna is on her way down under
AFTER 23 years since her last visit, Madonna is set to return to Australia in 2016 to perform live in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The global Rebel Heart tour starts in Montreal, Canada on September 9 and will Australian shores March 12 and 13 in Melbourne, March 19 and 20 in Sydney and finally Brisbane on March 26 and 27.
The global tour follows Madonna’s 13th studio album Rebel Heart that debuted at number one in Australia, making it her 11th number one album on the ARIA Charts.
Tickets for the Rebel Heart concerts will go on sale on Monday, July 6 at 10am through Ticketek.
Social media is already awash with rumours of Madonna headlining Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras next year, especially given her large LGBTI fan base. Although the dates are close, Madonna’s Australian tour is a few weeks after the parade and after party.
