Dine with Australia’s hunkiest cowboy
Adam Sutton is off to China next week with Olivia Newton-John as one of the exclusive group of Australian and international celebrities taking part in the singer’s Great Walk to Beijing fundraising event – and Sydney will host the gay cowboy’s final farewell with a red carpet bash aimed at raising money for Olivia’s cancer appeal.
The Great Walk is a unique global event, bringing together a group of public figures from the worlds of music, TV, film, sport and business – along with a determined group of cancer surivors – with the aim of raising millions towards building the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Centre at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne. Each walker can be sponsored online and Adam, who is doing the walk in memory of his mate Heath Ledger, is hoping the gay community will rally behind him as he walks every step of the 250km alongside Olivia.
2DayFM newsreader Geoff Field will MC, and organisers are feverishly lining up a list of entertainers and guests that will make the event one of the highlights of the year.
And bring your chequebook or credit card if you want to help the Olivia appeal as well as snap up some exclusive auction items – including an amazing range of signed Olivia-related memorabilia, signed items from Olivia’s Hollywood mates like Bette Midler – and something that will have gay cowboy fans reaching for the plastic: a private dinner with Adam himself when he gets back from China.
The Final Farewell: Cowboy Goes to China will be held at Kells at the Kirketon 229 Darlinghurst Rd, Darlinghurst. Tickets: $55. For credit card bookings, contact Gabrielle Bliss at Kell’s 0421 198 389 or email [email protected]. To donate a prize email [email protected] or call 0418 743 941.
