DJ Jimmy Dee

DJ Jimmy Dee gives us his favourite five dance tracks at the moment. You can catch him playing at Arq on Friday and Sunday, the Imperial Hotel on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, plus Queer Nation and G.A.Y. He also has his own show on Beat FM 87.6 Monday nights from 7pm.

NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP (Supraphonic Electro Remix)
The Miami Collective feat. Angie Brown
This track comes straight from the European dance scene and features the delightful vocals of Angie Brown. The Supraphonic Electro Remix incorporates the funk and vocal elements of the original but adds tougher electro synths and pads which make it sound a lot fresher and more current.

SOME GIRLS (The Sharp Boys Hot Fridge Vocal)
Rachel Stevens

This track was written by bootleg wunderkind Richard X and the single version, a combination of 80s glam and electro, is very catchy. I love the Sharp Boys mix which gives it a slightly tribal taste without losing the original feel.

JUST CAN’T STOP (Mutants Mix)
Small Phat One Vol 3

This UK house track is mixed by the one and only Phats & Small and has been one of my faves for the last couple of months. It features a sample of Michael Jackson’s I Just Can’t Stop Loving You and always gets a great response on the dancefloor.

TALK ABOUT OUR LOVE (E-Smoove Classic Club Mix)
Brandy

This is the first single off Brandy’s new album Afrodisiac and is nominated for Best R&B Video at this year’s MTV Video Awards up against Beyonc?nd Alicia Keys. The E-Smoove mix has a groovy house feel about it, with great lyrics and the soothing vocals of Brandy. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this one.

HORNY ALL THE TIME (Dirty Mix)
Bastone & Burnz feat. Triple Lexxx

Recent scientific studies have shown that frequent orgasm reduces the risk of heart disease, obesity and senility, is the vocal intro to this track. Backed by a house beat and vocals similar to Horny, this camp number is sure to get all the boys and girls singing along.
