Inquisition to return to the Dome

Inquisition to return to the Dome

Sydney Leather Pride’s (SLPA) annual celebration of all things leather and fetish, Inquisition, will return to the Dome this year.

It will mark the first time since 2008 the party, one of the most popular on the Sydney dance party calendar, has been held at its spiritual home, SLPA president Aarion Sinclair said.

“Most people within our community have considered The Dome to be the home of Inquisition for a long time,” Sinclair told the Star Observer yesterday morning.

“Due to financial and hiring constraints, SLPA couldn’t afford to hold Inquisition in the venue that everyone knows and loves.

“Initially this year it was also struck off the list due to cost, but we ventured down that path anyway and discovered a few things had changed.

“We are bringing back the dark, dirty, old days this year — something the party has lacked for the last few — and The Dome is only the start of that.”

Sinclair said DJs already confirmed for this year inlcude Matt Vaughan, Sveta, Fiesty and Melbourne’s rising star Kam Shafaati.

info: Inquisition XIX will be held on August 6 from 10pm. Tickets on sale from May 27 at SAX Fetish and MaXXX Black.

  1. Melbear,

And for this reason, we have excluded security from our contract with EQ, and are hiring security independently. That will be queer and leather friendly, as well as kink and sexual preference positive. This is our event and I intend on keeping it that way.

The Dome is still policed by the over zealous security at Fox Studios. Please be honest about this in your reporting. Mari Gras has proved that the days of old are over. It’s time to leave Fox studios behind.
