SUMMER FESTIVAL
Summer Gay Day tickets are on sale now and already hundreds of tickets have been sold. It’s the first time an outdoor gay and lesbian festival will bring in the first day of summer. ARQ ON
Tonight is APEC Eve (Thursday 6 September) and Arq is going off. In the main arena from 11pm, Shauna Jensen will be singing and DJs include Luke Leal, Josh and Matt Steer. In the Vortex from 9pm it’s Drag for Dollars with Chelsea Bun. Shows are by Minnie Cooper, Kitty Glitter, Charisma Bell and Miss Tiffany. Entry is $10. Details: www.arqsydney.com.au.
SOMETHING DIFFERENT
Club Arak is holding a party on Saturday 22 September. Tickets are on sale now and start from $30 plus booking fee, with no door sales. DJ Gemma will be playing from 10pm at Sydney Uni’s Manning Bar. Details: www.clubarak.com.
BYRON FUN
Tickets are on sale now for the 19th annual Blues and Roots Music Festival, kicking off over the Easter long weekend, 2008. Early bird five-day passes are $320 and three-day passes start at $245. Details: www.bluesfest.com.au.
CLOSING DOWN
Saturday 8 September is the last night of the long-running Priscilla show at the Imperial Hotel. After 12 years, a new show with a new cast will return. All performances are from 10pm. Details: www.theimperialhotel.com.au.

DJ SAVIOUR
The Colombian Hotel is putting on an APEC-inspired event tonight, Thursday 6 September, called Last Night A DJ Saved The World. DJs Jimmy Dee and Sandi Hotrod will play from 9pm till late. Free entry.
