Out Video only online

Long-running gay video store Out Video has announced that it is now an online business only, closing its St Kilda store.

Online rentals through the store’s website have become so popular -“ even  among locals -”  that the number of visitors to the store has fallen dramatically, forcing Out Video owners to close the shopfront aspect of the business.

There is a silver lining for those disappointed that the physical store has closed after nine years in operation: over the next month, the range of online rental titles offered by Out Video is set to double, as titles that have previously been reserved for in-store renters become available online for everyone. With this strengthened online focus will also come an increase in online services, and a late-June ex-rental sale.
