Quentin Bryce to dine at Luncheon Club

Governor-General Quentin Bryce has been confirmed as the guest of honour for the Luncheon Club’s World AIDS Day commemorations.
Her Excellency will join the NSW Governor and long-time Luncheon Club supporter, Marie Bashir, for the lunch service on December 1.
“We’re very blessed, really. We sent her a request to have afternoon tea with us on World AIDS Day and she’s been gracious enough to accept,” Bobby Goldmsith Foundation CEO Bev Lange said.
“It’s a great boost for the members of the Luncheon Club to have someone of her standing come. Marie Bashir has been with us before and shown great support and it’s wonderful to see the Governor-General doing something similar.”
It is a considerable coup for the organisation, which this week celebrated its sweet 16th with an extra-special lunch featuring produce from local organisations and attended by City of Sydney councillors.

  1. I bet she will veto the Civil Partnership Amendment Bill 2009 in Canberra because it “mimmics marriage”!!!!

  2. This is great news.

I only hope she can sack the Happy Clapper Evangelical Kevin Rudd! We cannot have Prime Minister that promotes hate and violence by supporting hate groups such the Australian Christian Lobby. His support of them has no doubt led to gay bashing’s, and youth suicide.

    I live in hope.
