Beginners get a taste for wrestling
Sydney’s Harbour City Wrestling Club hosted a successful beginners’ workshop in March. Participants went through warm-up exercises and wrestling games designed to develop coordination, strength and fitness, before being introduced to basic ‘take downs’ and grappling techniques.
The club trains every Friday night at The Boxing Works, 23 Pelican St, Darlinghurst with an accredited wrestling coach. The sessions are suitable for wrestlers of all levels, novices to experienced. Spectators are also welcome, and the first session is free.
To join the club at training nights or to reserve your place in future workshops, email Harbourcitywrestling@gmail.com

Support the Star Observer… while you still can
LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.
When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.
Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
