The wrestlers of the Harbour City Wrestling Club are hard at work training for their upcoming international competition.

The club is sending seven competitors to participate in the Don Jung Championships, to be held in San Francisco on September 22.

“Last year we were able to send three wrestlers to compete in the annual tournament. This year we are proud that with community support and through fundraising we are able to send seven wrestlers,” club president Tony Galluzzo said.

“I would like to thank everyone who has helped the club get this far, in particular the Harbour City Bears. Participating in these types of tournament helps prepare us for the Gay Games in 2014 and keeps us connected with the international wrestling community.”

New wrestlers of all genders are welcome to join their training sessions on Friday evenings from 7-8.30pm at Boxing Works gym, 23 Pelican St, Darlinghurst.
