Outgames conference program released
The full program for the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames conference has just been announced, with presenters representing 15 countries across the Asia and Pacific region.
“We are delighted with the quality of presenters and the extensive array of papers on offer,” Outgames conference convenor Barry Taylor said.
“With 113 presentations, grouped into six topic streams, the variety will provide food for thought for all attendees.”
Taylor said the conference in Wellington is an opportunity to celebrate what has been achieved and to be inspired for future challenges.
“The program is full of examples of LGBTI people coming up with creative solutions to address inequalities,” he said.
“With dogged perseverance and passionate leadership, in such settings as education and the workplace, we have made a difference to people’s lives.”
The 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames comprises eight days of sports competition, the human rights conference, arts and cultural events and exhibitions from March 12–19, 2011.
The conference will be held March 16-18 at Wellington Town Hall.
