THE GREATEST HITS – LEO SAYER
Leo Sayer’s umpteenth greatest hits collection comes complete with some rather creepy cover artwork and a full digital remastering, giving new life to many of his earlier, vinyl-only singles. As expected, it’s a front-loaded collection, with the biggest chart hits like You Make Me Feel Like Dancin’ and When I Need You covered in the first half-dozen tracks. The only unfortunate omission: Meck’s brilliant 2006 remix of Thunder In My Heart, which returned Sayer to the top of the UK charts after 30 years.
I’m glad it does not have that awful remix, but that is just a personal view, it is still overall a well mastered hit album.
