Can you feel it? Can you smell it? Yes — summer is on its way!
Being a dedicated leatherman does not stop me from yearning for a little summer sunshine.
We are lucky in Australia to have a wonderful climate where we can enjoy the great outdoors for a good proportion of the year. I always find mixing the outdoors with socialising a major plus.
The Beresford has had another makeover and the new owners have got the formula right! The management are great, the door staff are intelligent, the bar staff are wonderful, and don’t forget the delicious new menu the kitchen is offering.
There is another reason why the Beresford is a great place to be on a summery Sunday afternoon. The outdoor courtyard. This has had an extreme makeover. Gone is the harsh industrial metal look. It has been replaced with a courtyard zapped right out of the Mediterranean.
It has eclectic table settings, from comfortable lounges and coffee tables to intimate chairs and tables for two. Large citrus trees are dotted around along with magnolia trees. Magnificent stags and elks grace the courtyard walls.
There’s more! There are wonderful Sunday afternoon DJs. Last Sunday Kate Monroe and Kitty Glitter worked their magic on the crowd and had all of us swaying with the groove.
But wait — there is still more. Everyone is welcome, including men on motorbikes in full leather gear.
