On Saturday July 14, Hume Phoenix presents a gourmet food and wine tour of the Rutherglen region. Tickets are $30 each and include the bus trip, wine tastings and a chance to win $1000 worth of wines at Moodemere Wines. Food and other alcohol purchases are at your own cost. This year the AIDS quilt will be 25 years old. On Saturday July 21 there will be a community meeting at ACON Illawarra community space, 18 Ellen St Wollongong, from 12-2pm to discuss ideas for a collaborative art project created locally to honour the quilt and reflect current experiences of HIV.
All community members are welcome to attend and bring their thoughts on what shape(s) this project could take. We will display the finished product to the broader community during AIDS Awareness Week activities in early December.

Hepatitis week is 23-31 July and a great time to consider how you can Love Your Liver. There are special events happening for Hepatitis Week 2012, kicking off on Monday 23 July with a Love Your Liver morning tea from 10-12 at ACON Illawarra, featuring a Hepatitis specialist on hand to answer all your questions, along with health packs for you to take home.
Tuesday 24 July from 10am we have the doctor on hand running an extended sexual health clinic. Why not come in and get a free checkup?
On Wednesday 25 July come in and test your knowledge from earlier in the week, with trivia and prizes running for front of house clients throughout the day. Don’t stress if you can’t make it on these days, you can still learn to love your liver by grabbing some of the other information and resources available during the rest of the week.
