Brendan’s big win
The stunning video for queer Sydney songster Brendan Maclean’s latest single Practically Wasted took out the Queensland Film Award for Best Video Clip last Friday night. The clip was directed by Peter Ireland (pictured on set with Maclean), winner of the Emerging Talent Award at last year’s Mardi Gras Film Festival. The circus-themed video, which features Maclean performing amidst a menagerie of drag queens, topless boys and sideshow oddballs, is currently doing the rounds on Rage and Channel V.
