It’s one of those classic musicals that any show queen worth their original cast recordings should already know everything about. Recent conversations with apprentice musical aficionados, however, revealed a disturbing lack of knowledge about the gayness of America’s tribal love-rock musical. Suffice it to say there’s a song called Sodomy about the joys of, among other things, masturbation and orgies, that’s a lot more fun than Good Morning Starshine. Hair opens on 8 April and runs Tuesday to Saturday at 8pm, with 3pm Sunday matinees.
