Director Casper Andreas gives A Four Letter Word a fun, sexy and romantic edge.

The comedy, set in Manhattan and screening as part of this year’s Queer Screen Film Festival, revolves around five New Yorkers exploring sexuality, relationships and their neighbours’ bodies.

Promiscuous Luke contemplates monogamy with ultra-hot hustler Stephen. Long-time lovers Peter and Derek struggle with moving in together while activist Zeke tries to change the world one confrontation at a time.

Meanwhile, Peter’s boss Marilyn freaks out as her wedding draws closer and her AA sponsor, Trisha, declares her love.

A Four Letter Word is a spin-off of Andreas’s 2004 Slutty Summer and, according to this year’s film festival organisers, is one of the must-sees this year.

A Four Letter Word plays at the Palace Academy Twin on 17 and 25 February. Details: www.queerscreen.com.au.
