SFF to launch program

Get a taste of the Sydney Film Festival’s (SFF) 2012 offerings when festival director Nashen Moodley launches the program on Wednesday, May 9, 6pm at Customs House Library.

Queer-themed highlights include Beauty, the dark, controversial new film from South African director Oliver Hermanus that focuses on Francois, a middle-aged Afrikaans-speaking family man who becomes obsessed with the young son of long-time friends.

The SFF’s feature films, documentaries, short films and animations will be screened at venues across the city from June 6 – 17.

The program launch, which is free, will showcase the diverse range of films, including the opening and closing night films, and the Official Competition Selection.

Festival FlexiPasses are now on sale. A FlexiPass allows you to buy a group of tickets in advance, which can be redeemed when tickets go on sale.
