Midsumma gets appy
Melbourne queer arts festival Midsumma is almost here and for those who haven’t already, you can get up to speed with all that’s happening during the three-week event with the Midsumma iPhone app.
The app will keep you informed with full access to the 2012 program where events can be browsed by date, venue and type. Best of all it’s free.
Users can also create a list of must-see events, check which shows are sold out, read news, interact with the festival through Facebook and Twitter and view venue locat/ions on Google Maps.
Most importantly, the app allows you to check the weather so you know when to leave your warm clothes at home or bring an umbrella.
The app is now available from the iTunes store.
Midsumma runs January 15 – February 5.
Support the Star Observer… while you still can
LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.
When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.
Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
