Australia’s leading fashion designer Frisoni Finetti launched his new label last month, following the split from business partner Nicola Finetti early this year.
With a Japanese samurai and Egyptian mummy aesthetic, the collection was praised by fashionistas as he captured that innovative edge that Oxford St habitues have been searching for in local boutiques.
Forget androgynous tones and going out in jeans. Finetti said gay men are going to love his latest collection because it’s for the modern-day man with a beautiful twist.
It’s not for the man who wears herringbone, he said.
It’s changed a little bit [since the partnership ended] and I invented the fabrics and put a combination of them together such as a bamboo wool and silk.
It’s got this winter feel to it with very beautiful knots and drapes. I want men to wear jackets but with relaxing tracksuit pants that look like you’re going to a formal occasion but with modern chic at the same time.
