On the road again
One drunken night in San Francisco, Joel is dragged out of the gutter and seduced by the angelic Scott. Road Movie, playing at the Adelaide Town Hall from February 25-29, charts Joel’s journey westwards across the United States to be reunited with the man of his dreams.
Along the way, Joel stumbles across a series of people grieving for lost loved ones: an elderly couple paying homage to their son at a Vietnam Memorial. A southern belle handing out condoms at a gay beat. A Texan mother coming to terms with her daughter’s suicide.
Performer Dirk Hoult plays all these characters in this challenging one man show written by Godfrey Hamilton and Liz Skitch.
Support the Star Observer… while you still can
LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.
When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.
Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
