Trans Indian story on screen
Just Another Love Story receives its Australian premiere on March 12 as part of the Indian Film Festival. The film is an English-language drama about a transgender filmmaker who sets out to make a documentary about the actor Chapal Bhaduri, who impersonated females on stage before women were allowed to act. Slowly, the filmmaker’s own relationship with his bisexual cameraman becomes the target of homophobic local media.
