Dine in for a cause
Many young people of diverse genders and sexualities feel isolated and lack places they feel safe to be themselves.
Twenty10 provides a place for these young people to come during the day and access support. The group’s busy drop-in centre does not receive government funding and a cold winter has made it even busier than usual.
Community members can help raise the funds to run this program by hosting a dinner. Tell your guests about Twenty10. Ask them to make a tax-deductible donation. It’s an initiative Twenty10 has dubbed ‘Dinner At My Place’.
The youth service thinks hosting a fundraising dinner at your place is a great way to spend a winter evening and help boost the organisation’s coffers at the same time. All you need to do is plan a dinner to be held before Christmas.
To turn your dinner into a fundraising opportunity for Twenty10, register it at the Dinner At My Place fundraising page. You can create a personalised page and set up an email invitation to your friends.
