Plans are well and truly underway for South Australia’s annual Bear festival, Bearstock.

Bearstock Eleven will be held in Adelaide in late November, with some familiar and some completely new events.

A jail tour and new dance party are being added to this year’s line-up, while established staples such as Bearotica have been revamped.

Other events include a Barossa Bear wine tour; a ‘Bair Art’ exhibition of works by Bearstock Artist In Residence (BAIR) Alexander Evans; the Golden Woofs, a gala screening of finalists in the world’s richest Bear short film competition; and the Bear night of nights, the Mr Bear SA competition, hosted by Melbourne’s Dean Arcuri.

Sydney’s Harbour City Bears will once again sponsor Bearstock this year, and Chunky — a party which regularly sells out in Sydney and Melbourne — will head to Adelaide for a special South Australian edition. DJs Ubersapian (Adelaide), Matt Effect (Sydney) and Mark Alsop (Sydney) have been confirmed for the larger-than-life evening.
