Honour nominations close today

With nominations closing at 5pm today, Honour Awards organisers have announced New Mardi Gras (NMG) and condom maker GLYDE Health as partners. GLYDE Health will present the Health and Wellbeing Award while NMG will present the Community Organisation Award.

GLYDE Health CEO Clive Woodworth said the company was proud to partner with the awards.

“Helping people look after their health and wellbeing is what GLYDE Health is all about,” Woodworth said. “Presenting the Honour Award for Health and Wellbeing is another way for us to realise that goal by helping spread the safe-sex message and by contributing funds for ACON’s vital health promotion services.”

“NMG is one of hundreds of LGBTI community organisations in NSW and all, in their own way, make significant contributions to our lives,” NMG chairman Peter Urmson said, “NMG is honoured to be presenting an award which recognises and celebrates this service.”

Finalists will be announced on the Honour Awards website and in the Sydney Star Observer on September 7. Guests and finalists will also be able to bid on silent auction items at the Awards, held in the Ivy’s Sun Room from 7pm on

Thursday 29 September, including a trip to New York. Tickets to the awards cost $85 and can be bought at the Honours Awards website.
