It’s Twenty10 week

This week is Twenty10 Week, and the GLBTI youth outreach organisation is putting on a host of events to remind people of its work and raise funds.

Twenty10 Week is also an opportunity for the organisation to thank its supporters for making an important contribution to addressing marginalisation and homelessness among the young people it works with.

On October 20 visit the Insight Out Art Exhibition of works by young queer artists at the Aurora Room on Bedford Street in Newtown.

Hosted by Todd McKenney, the exhibition will also see the presentation of the first Insight Award for the artist who most effectively communicates an insight on the world or themselves through their artwork.

Works by prominent artists will also be auctioned off for the charity on the night.

Other ways to celebrate Twenty10 Week include a visit to the website to make a donation — or you could host a dinner at your place.

After a very successful first year, Twenty10 is again holding its Dinner at My Place event where people host a dinner in their home with their friends and invite their guests to make a donation to Twenty10.

To turn your dinner into a fundraiser for Twenty10, register at the Dinner At My Place Fundraising Page and create a personalised page and send an e-mail invitation to your friends.
