JOY looking for love
This Valentine’s Day, Melbourne LGBTI radio station JOY 94.9 is looking for love.
The station will hold a fundraiser inspired by popular ’80s television show Perfect Match at Red Bennies on Tuesday, February 14.
Just like the show, the station is looking for dates for four eligible JOY presenters and calling on all singles to get involved to (potentially) meet the love of their lives.
The desperate and dateless JOY presenters looking for dates are:
Michael Dalton – looking for someone just like him with a split personally.
Gillian Bartlett – looking for someone just like her, intellectual and funny.
Dean Beck – looking for someone just like him, into leather or any other fetish.
Shannon Power – a straight JOY presenter, she is looking for a straight man!
A gold coin donation and raffle will raise money for the station.

Support the Star Observer… while you still can
LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.
When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.
Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.
