Watch the naked rowers in action in the US

THE Warwick rowers who rose to fame for their naked calendars that raise money for anti-homophobia charities are currently in the US promoting their 2015 calendar and already beginning their photo shoot for a 2016 calendar.

Speaking to the Huffington Post, the shirtless rowers explained that the calendars were originally created to raise money for their sport, but after the gay community showed support in the calendar they decided to give back by donating 10 per cent of sales to combating homophobia in sports through the Sports Allies campaign.

“Our way of giving something back — because [the gay community was] supporting us and enabling us to row — was to, as young straight athletes, stand in alliance with them and stand up for their rights,” rower Laurence Hulse said.

  1. It’s a pity they kept emphasizing through the interview that they were straight. As in, “we do this for gay people, but just to make it clear we’re not gay .” Still, kudos to them.
