A Wilde night of trivia

A Wilde night of trivia

This year’s theme for the Melbourne Theatre Company’s popular Trivial Night for Serious People is ‘Be Wilde’. Just as Oscar once flippantly subtitled his play The Importance of Being Earnest, A Trivial Comedy for Serious People, this year’s event is sure to echo Wilde’s sentiments. The trivia competition will provide the centrepiece for an evening of games, laughter, fine food, fabulous wine and good society — including special guests from the MTC stage. Costumes are not mandatory but are encouraged and a prize will be presented to the best ‘Wilde’ outfit/costume. All proceeds go towards MTC’s education initiatives, commissions, play readings and mentoring the next generation of theatre artists.
