After Hours II Is Bringing Brisbane’s Sapphic Dancefloor Back To Life

Brisbane’s sapphic dancefloor is turning the lights down and the R&B up.
After packing out its first edition at the same Fortitude Valley venue in June, After Hours returns bigger, louder and sexier for a second night of slow jams, sing-along favourites, sweet cocktails and the kind of across-the-room eye contact that can completely change the direction of an evening.
Presented by Sapphic Society Brisbane, After Hours II is built around a simple promise: a lesbian-focused night where sapphic and FLINTA+ people can take up space, flirt, dance and find community without feeling like an afterthought.
It’s a simple idea, but an important one. While Brisbane’s LGBTQIA+ nightlife continues to thrive, dedicated spaces putting queer women, lesbians and gender-diverse people firmly at the centre of the party remain something worth celebrating.
For four hours, Pawn & Co will become a sapphic playground, with DJs and entertainment keeping the R&B flowing from 8pm until midnight. Expect everything from sultry slow jams to the songs guaranteed to have the entire dancefloor singing along before the chorus has even arrived.
The organisers are inviting guests to dress to impress, twerk until their knees object and settle in for a night designed around queer joy, connection and perhaps a little romantic chaos.
And after the response to the first After Hours, there’s clearly an appetite for more.
Whether you’re arriving with your girlfriend, hoping to finally define that situationship, gathering the group chat for a night out or heading in solo to meet some new faces, the emphasis is firmly on creating a welcoming space to dance and connect.
