BODY TALK PT. 1 – ROBYN
The first of three mini-albums she’s apparently releasing this year, Robyn’s Body Talk Pt.1 is an eight-song collection with the diverse, slightly jumbled feel of a mixtape. Thankfully, it’s also uniformly brilliant, from the defiant opener Don’t Fucking Tell Me What To Do to the hushed lullaby of closer Jag Vet En Dejlig Rosa, a traditional Swedish folk song. In between she delivers tense electro (None Of Dem), laidback reggae (Dancehall Queen) and one of her best singles yet with disco weepie Dancing On My Own.
