Batwoman wedding update
In an update to the whole Batwoman same-sex wedding story line saga, DC Comics has now hired an openly gay man to take over the comic’s creative writing.
Earlier we reported on a planned same-sex marriage between Batwoman and her partner Maggie Sawyer being cancelled by DC management, and a scathing press release and walkout from its editorial team claiming “editorial differences” shortly after.
The new writer Marc Andreyko wrote on his Facebook;
”Its, it’s true: I’m the new writer of Batwoman! and, as i prepare for the interweb onslaught, a few things: i ADORE J.H Williams and Greg Rucka and Hayden Blackman and the great character they’ve created so lovingly, I am taking this job very seriously and hope to do right by Kate, Maggie, Bette and the rest of the cast.”
No word yet on wether the same-sex wedding is back on or not.
