The 2011 Emmy Awards are all wrapped up, with host Jane Lynch coming out one of the biggest winners on the night for her wonderful compering abilities.

Lynch started off television’s night of nights with an elaborate musical number and filled the 63rd year of the awards with biting wit.

Comedy series Modern Family was the other big winner of the night, with a swag of acting, directing, writing and best series gongs.

Camp classic Mildred Pierce dominated in mini-series category and Peter Dinklage’s win for his role in HBO series Game of Thrones seemed to be the most popular win of the night for the crowd

One of the highlights of the ceremony, however, had to be Jane Lynch’s hilarious introduction of the cast of Entourage.

“A lot of people are curious why I’m a lesbian. Ladies and gentleman, the cast of Entourage,” she said.
