Janet Jackson up close in Oz
Janet Jackson will be bringing her Number Ones: Up Close and Personal tour to Australia in October and November, with an emphasis on intimate concerts.
This is the first time in 13 years that Jackson has performed in Australia.
Jackson will start in Perth and Adelaide before taking to the stage of Melbourne’s Arts Centre, State Theatre on October 26 and 27, the Gold Coast Convention Center on November 2 and the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on November 5 and 6.
Currently on a 35-city tour that has been through North America, Asia and Europe, the locations for Jackson’s performances were partly selected with the help of fans who could suggest cities via her website.
“I thank my fans who have voted and helped me choose these Australian cities,” the singer said in a statement.
“These concerts will be different from anything I have ever done, I will be as up close and personal as possible.”
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 3.
