Kathleen Turner’s perfect family

Cinema great Kathleen Turner will play the Catholic mother of a lesbian in a new film titled The Perfect Family.

The trailer for the film, which closed the Outfest Film Festival, was released this week.

Turner joins Emily Deschanel, Jason Ritter and screen veteran Richard Chamberlain in the film, playing Eilien Cleary, a woman who has been nominated for a ‘Catholic Woman of the Year’ award.

The prospect of a home visit by judges leaves her scrambling to uphold her image with a recovering alcoholic husband, divorced son and lesbian daughter, who has a baby on the way with with her partner Angela (Angelique Cabral).
