Miranda eyes pop career
Miranda Cosgrove is following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus and Emily Osment as the latest Nickelodean star to embark on a pop career.
The 17 year old star of iCarly released a moderately successful album last year but has roped in the big guns for her latest effort.
Dancing Crazy was written by Avril Lavigne and produced by Max Martin – the man behind Britney’s Hold It Against Me.
While the song represents a slightly more mature sound for the budding diva, there’s nothing here to shock the parents of her legion of teenage fans.
The video (below) is also fairly tame.
Basically, the well behaved pop star goes for a drive and dances around a football field – not exactly Rihanna’s S&M video then.
If you like your teen pop bright and shiny without the added skank of Miley, why not give Miranda a listen.
