New album next month for Etheridge

Melissa Etheridge’s Australian fans are already at excited at the prospect of the rocker and gay icon’s Aussie tour, which kicks off in just under a week, and now they’ve got more news to be happy about.

Etheridge has announced she’ll release a new album, 4th Street Feeling, on August 31. Recorded in Los Angeles at HOB Studios, the album was produced by Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Norah Jones) and Steve Booker (Duffy), and co-produced by Etheridge herself.

The first single from the album, Falling Up, will be available on iTunes from August 7 – in the meantime, give it a listen below.
