Róisín Murphy returns
Electro-pop favourite Róisín Murphy has teamed up with Dutch production team Mason to record a new single called Boadicea.
The former Moloko frontwoman developed a strong cult following with her second album Overpowered, which many critics believe was a big influence on Lady Gaga’s sound and style.
Her new song is a typically understated electronic anthem, but the graphic video is a big change from her previous high fashion film clips.
Directed by Ron Scalpello, the confronting video follows a disturbed young woman who fantasises about getting back at the cruel men in her life.
Like Boadicea, she leaves a trail of destruction in her wake.
