Stefani calls it quits

Gwen Stefani has closed the door on her solo career forever, choosing to focus on parenthood and a planned No Doubt reunion instead.

“That was a moment in time,” the Wind It Up singer told Entertainment Weekly about her hit filled solo career.

“It went on a little longer than we all thought it would, because it was inspired and you have to go with wherever you’re at in that time in your life … [But] everything works out how it should.”

It’s no secret the 41-year-old has been focusing on relaunching No Doubt, but many fans were still holding out for another solo record at some point in her career.

The band is making an announcement about their next adventure on Friday – so expect to hear more about their first album in over a decade very soon.

Gwen launched her solo career in 2004 and scored seven top 10 hits in Australia with modern pop classics like What You Waiting For?, Hollaback Girl, The Sweet Escape and Cool (below).
