The writing is set in stone: gay singer Sam Smith achieves two Guinness World Records

OPENLY-gay British singer Sam Smith has added two Guinness World Records to his CV of ever-growing accomplishments — including several Grammy awards — since he first released his debut single Lay Me Down in 2013.

Earlier this week, it was announced on the Guinness World Records’ website that Smith was awarded two titles.

First, his debut album In the Lonely Hour broke the the record for the Most Consecutive Weeks in the UK Top 10 Album Charts for 69 weeks.

His second achievement was for being the performer of the first James Bond theme song to reach No.1 in the UK charts, with Writing’s on the Wall, the track for the upcoming Spectre film.
