Tiffany’s on the comeback trail

’80s pop star Tiffany is about to hit the comeback trail with a new country album called Rose Tattoo.

The one time teen sensation, who scored a handful of massive hits in the late 1980s with songs like I Think We’re Alone Now a

nd I Saw Him Standing There, is experiencing something of a career revival thanks to her recent appearance in the camp horror movie Mega Python vs. Gatoroid alongside fellow ’80s pop starlet Debbie Gibson.

She has just released a new song called Serpentine (listen to it here) from the film’s soundtrack and spoke to OK Magazine about her soon to be released album.

“It’s very country blues,” Tiffany told the interviewer. “It’s Bonnie Raitt with a Stevie Ray Vaughan vibe.”

“I’ve winged off into something I’ve wanted to do for 15 years,” she continued.

“I love country music, started in country music – I’m really just going back to my roots.”

Rose Tattoo is due for release in March.

  1. Tiffany’s rocking with her debut country album “Rose Tattoo”, a small collection of BIG songs! I bought the album and I’m loving it! Each song is a bona fide hit! Try to hold your tears for “Just love me” and “He won’t miss me” and get ready to dance in your cowboy/cowgirl boots to “Feel the music” and “Crazy girls”…and then sing along to “Just the girl”!
