Who has the power? Out Magazine’s 2013 Power list

OUT Magazine's Top 10-1

Apple CEO Tim Cook has taken out the number one spot for the third year in a row in Out magazine’s ‘Power 50’ list for 2013.

The list ranks to top 50 gay men and women who influence the way Americans think about, and engage with, the world.

It’s the 7th annual list compiled by the popular LGBTI magazine.

Joining Cook in the top five are journalist Anderson Cooper, talkshow host Ellen Degeneres, news commentator Rachel Maddow and Glee producer Ryan Murphy.

In the top 10, Fox News presenter Shepard Smith, musician Frank Ocean, statistician Nate Silver, recently elected Democrat Senator Tammy Baldwin, and venture capitalist Peter Thiel.

New entries to the list included TV host and drag star Ru Paul Charles (#50), screenwriter Dustin Lance Black (#43) and Silver (#6).
